The Colts struck a huge gamble against Carson Wentz this off-season. Here are five bold predictions about how Wentz and his teammates will perform in 2021.

Carson Wentz’s arrival in Indianapolis will determine how successful the Colts can be in 2021. If he returns in tip-top shape, Frank Reich’s roster has the potential to make a Super Bowl run. If he plays for the Eagles like in 2020, Indianapolis will be looking for a new quarterback in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Expect the Colts to do everything in their power to rehabilitate Wentz. You need their big quarterback bet to pay off well. Everything else will keep them in a place very close to mediocrity.

The Wentz problem isn’t the only big variable the Colts will face in 2021, however. This is a team with a lot of high-end potential yet to be realized. Indianapolis fans need to keep an eye on the following five predictions as indicators of their favorite team’s performance this season.

5. Parris Campbell will finally help

Campbell has been a massive disappointment for the Colts since entering the league as a second-round draft pick in 2019. Injuries prevented the talented Wideout from making a huge impact on the NFL.

A serious knee injury ended his 2020 campaign prematurely, but he should be ready when the 2021 season kicks off. If he can stay healthy, he has a chance to play a significant role in the Colts crime slot.

The prediction here is not that Campbell will become a star. It’s just that he makes a significant contribution to an efficient crime. The Colts would love to see him play double-digit games and catch about 50 passes.
