Leena and Jake Middaugh set up camp as one of Bottleworks’ earliest retailers.
Outfitters sell goods You need for a retreat in nature. Becker Supply Co. sells clothes and accessories to tell people you love to wear them. Screen printers Leena and Jake Middaugh put “Fish Crew” and “Born to Swim” on T-shirts and other merchandise, and after a successful pop-up shop in the Fashion Mall selling their original designs, the couple knew that their business could no longer remain nomadic. The Middaughs set up a camp in the Bottleworks District as one of the hotspot’s first retailers with Plant a Tree bags and koozies, Midwest trucker hats and pikeperch baby bibs in the Bottleworks District. It’s in the Garage Food Hall, but when the weather permits, the large sash windows open to the great outdoors – not exactly nature, but the culture trail is just a short block away. Signs you can see on hiking trails are strewn around the store, and National Park fans will go on the air knowing that with every purchase a tree is planted by the National Forest Foundation. Happy trails to you.
