FRANKLIN, Ind. (WISH) – The Johnson County Public Library helps teenagers shop for formal wear before the prom season during their annual Project Prom pop-up event.
Students can take away donated clothes, suits, shoes, and accessories for free on Saturday, April 10th, 10 am-4pm and Sunday, April 11th, 1 pm-4pm on the Franklin Branch
There have been over 800 attendees since the pop-up began in 2013, and event staff said nearly 200 teens found evening wear to take away in 2018.
It is an outdoor event and masks are required for health and safety reasons. Young people are allowed to browse in small groups to ensure social distance.
