INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The story was a bad start to the work week in large parts of the state with precipitation, strong winds and cold temperatures.
Monday night: We’re chasing more showers to get into the state this evening and into early Tuesday morning. Occasional smooth spots can appear. So be careful when you leave tonight.
Along with this extra rain, the winds stay high. The lows will bottom out in the upper 30s before we have a slight warming trend overnight.
Tuesday: After the system has taken off on Monday, the clouds will partially decrease and we will be on our way to a much nicer day. The highs rise in the mid to upper 50s.
Wednesday: The warming trend will continue into our Wednesday, with the partly sunny sky standing around. This will be the best weather day of the week as the highs return to the 60s.
8-day forecast: The rain and storm probability will revert to the forecast when we get into Thursday and continue into early Friday. This next system will also bring a quick cooldown to complete the rest of the work week. Then we will quickly recover towards the 60s by Sunday. We want to go back to the new work week next week, even towards the mid-1960s.
