INDIANAPOLIS (Inside INdiana Business) – Indianapolis-based Phalen Leadership Academies have launched a new human resource development program in the far east of Indianapolis. PLA University is a teaching-free program designed to educate families in a variety of fields including technology, advanced manufacturing, supply chain and logistics management, and health and life sciences.

The first pilot will launch next year and offer free training to access careers with entry-level salaries between $ 30,000 and $ 50,000 per year.

“We cannot ignore the ever-growing need for economic parity for our scholars and for our parents. We do a lot in our schools to help our students excel, but what about the support our families need to strengthen their homes? Live in a safe place? Eat and eat healthy every day? Our goal is to improve the lives of our students through education, and PLA University reinforces that promise by providing free education and professional training to all family members of our scientists, ”said Martin Phalen, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of PLA.

PLA University recently received a $ 150,000 Planning Scholarship from Glick Philanthropies to aid in education and job placement. Click here to learn more about PLA’s programs.
